I would like to introduce myself to the forum members. My name is Roy, my wife and I live in a small seaside town called Porthcawl in South Wales. At present we drive a Ford Cmax but are planning to take the plunge and buy a new Yeti (1.2 TSI Elegance), this is a present to myself on finally retiring at the age of 70. I have never owned or driven a Skoda of VW before so this will be a new experience for me, my expectations for the new car is one that will last, will not let me down and will be fun and economical to drive, perhaps you experienced Skoda / Yeti members can tell me if I am right!!

The only extras I am considering are the Annapurna Alloys and the three spoke steering wheel, would have had the sunroof, but there seems to be problems obtaining that, any comments !

I am sure there will be many questions I will raise between now and finally getting my Yeti in early September, but they can wait for another day.

Hi, on visiting my "local" Skoda dealer today and chatting to one of the sales guys he told me that he had recently taken an order for a 1.2 Yeti and had been given October as a delivery date. Allegedly during the scrappage season Skoda estimated they'd sell 5,000 cars but it turned out to be 12,000! Sort of explains the delivery issues across the range. :S
