One week & one thousand miles

Featured Replies

Picked up on 7th May from West London, then off along the M40/A40 to the north Cotswolds, no issues with internal noisy bits or anything else, comfortable ride, steady drive on motorway to 75mph max, feels good. Then 200 miles around Gloucestershire country roads, pushed it fairly hard around some iffy bits, sticks like glue, solid handling even on wet/muddy bends, terrific fun, haven't put the off road capabilities to the test yet.

Off up north on 15th May heading for Northumberland, country roads and motorways 252 miles, 48mpg not bad for an engine with only 290 miles on it. Foot down on short bursts on the motorway and it flies, exhilarating power potential really.

Seat comfort, audio, climate controls, bluetooth telephone, on board bits and bobs plus steering wheel controls more than adequate so far.

It was pushed quite hard on country roads in the border lands during daylight, dusk and dark, bog standard halogens and driving/fog lamps adequate, felt the Haldex respond once or twice but didn't really push it. The vehicle will be fun to drive when its done a few more miles on more trying surfaces.

Our trip back down to Gloucestershire with a slight headwind netted me 46mpg for 285 miles and I often sat at 2500 revs for few minutes with the odd shorter burst to 3000 revs. 1004 miles completed in our new acquisition and I consider the Yeti already to be well worth the spend.

Nice one! Enjoy the new car!

Excellent summary Pit-Yaka!
