Sensible lowering options

Heres my 25mm drop on Eibach springs...

Front_Blue.jpg

I have to go quite slow over speed humps, as it scrapes on the splitter. God knows how you lot with a LCR splitter and a >40/50mm drop get over speed humps!!

foey; that looks really high mate. are all fabias at that height?

Yeah, they sit quite high standard.

Below shows a good compairision, Mine left, Grr666's on standard springs right

However, The difference is more visible from behind.

Damien, i have seen a 55mm spring and damper kit on your site for the fabia VRS, if i install this kit will it be scraoing the floor every two seconds or will it be reasonable over bumps etc?

thanks

Do you mean the Supersport kit? That isn't listed specifically for the VRS although it does fit but wouldn't give you the full 55mm drop and more towards a 40mm on a VRS which is quite low but useable.

these mate that say they are listed for the 1.9 TDI;

weather its a VRS or PD100 the cars will weigh the same or very similar either way so surely it should give the same drop on both models?

will it be floor scrapingly low though as i cant be arsed with that at all tbh

Looks no more than a gnats whisker difference in height?? (optical illusion perhaps)??

I have been reading the lowering threads for some time now and I am finding it really difficult to make up my mind on what to go for!! I really don't want to make the handling worse with the changes that I make.

Has anyone fitted the Koni STR.T kit? It appears to be a lot of kit for the money. I would be interested to hear any reviews...good or bad!

The VRS is slightly lower out of the factory so you won't get the full quoted drop but it will still end up at the same stance if that makes sense.

Depending on your budget, the AP and the Weitec kits are both really good and excellent value for money. Also both specifically for the VRS.

If you want to go low then you'd need coilovers.
