Hi this a bit of a follow on from a old post of mine in short changed head gasket and car ran realy well for 2 weeks then car cutt outon wife when she was in it [deep joy] :( found thermostat had broken in housing so changed along with Temp sender for new ones, but car still cut out [in lower gears] ,have know cleaned carb was gummend up and no cutting out but judders in all gears on reaching 4000 revs apart from that engine go,es well any body have anyides or had this problem thanks

I'd start by disconnecting the battery overnight to try reset learned values. Is there a rattling noise from the side of the engine with the fan belt on?

Hi disconnected battery overnight ,but stil at standstill when engine reaches 4000 revs the whole engine seems to judder then smooth out at 5000 ish revs same when driving, no rattling noise it is like engine limiter is fitted ?
