Skoda Octavia: erratic idle

Featured Replies

I have a 2006 Skoda Octavia, 1.6L MPi suffering from an erratic idle and a sporadic rev while idling of about 400 rpm. I used a VAGCOM and got the fault code 18671: P2239- O2 Sensor Pump Current Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1 Short-Circuit to B+ Sporadic.

Could it be a Vacuum leak (as a sound is coming from near the throttle body though sprays with carb cleaner failed to show it), or a failed O2 Sensor?

Can anyone help me rectify this problem?

when checked i was told one of the spark plug wires faulty so its misfiring when the mechanic was doing the diagnostic he said it could be a vacuum leak as well
