Bet it has the most beautiful ride tho. Which I imagine is more important than bling on a Skoda estate!

so the smaller the wheel the better the ride is that what your saying????

Yep, rolling diameter practically the same as 17/18's with low pro tyres. So You just have a smaller rim with a taller tyre ( more air )

You dont see many bread and butter rep cars/motorway mile munchers specced with big wheels and 40/45 section tyres do you as new

Very nice looking motor car

I don't understand all the fuss about larger wheels. On one of my cars I ordered 17" instead

of the standard 16" and it came with lower profile tyres. These proved to be a disaster and

was most uncomfortable around town. I felt every little bump and pothole. Never again for me.

On a different point regarding your proposed 2 days for detailing work.

I would very much like to hear what you are proposing to do, with as much detail as possible.

if also you could list the products you intent to use this would also be helpful.

Good luck with your new car and thanks for any forthcoming information.

I was a bit reserved about the white but now I've seen it I have no regrets. I think the estate makes it look less like a taxi.

The wheels do look small but as said it'll make for a great motorway cruiser. I'm kind of sick of having to feel every bump in the road as I had to in the 197.

I'll post some more about the detail when I get hold of the car. I can't picture how the car was loaded as the back screen is covered in dead flies?

EDIT: I never knew they came with a small mudflap on the rear bumper. It annoys me with it being black and not body coloured.

I would like a white one mine is black I wonder how much it would cost for a full respray????

The intended process so far is:

1. TFR on the whole car

2. Snow foam

3. Wipe over with AS Tardis on required places.

4. Clay (not sure if it needs it but unsure how long it has been sat in ports/rail terminals)

5. Dodo Limeprime

6. 3 layers of vics Concours

7. Door shuts etc washed using AS G101 then polished and sealed (Jetseal 109 or similar)

8. Same process for wheels

Interior:

1. Wipe down with G101

2. Dress with Aerospace 303

Engine bay:

1. Clean using G101 again

2. polish any painted section then seal

3. Plastics dressed with 303

Process may change slightly depending on the condition.

There won't be any paintwork correction until later in the summer. The wax will also be replaced with FK 1000p for winter use so I don't have to rewax as often thus saving me from frezzing myself.

Thank you for taking the trouble to reply.

Most interesting, I have never done anything like this to any of my cars either old or new.

I will certainly file your answer and attempt to carry out the details as per your instructions.

Is there any special place where you get all these supplies from?

As I will be starting from square one, any advise/tips is most welcome.

Thank you again.

Most of my supplies comes from cleanyourcar or from my local autosmart rep.

I'll try and do a more detailed write up when I get the car.

I prefer bling on mine :)

Sounds like you're gonna get bitten by the detailing bug!

:D

be prepared for hours and hours looking at the paint on your car and circular hand movements. Its a great pastime.

"Cleanyourcar" and "Autosmart", found both these to be excellent contact for all necessary products.

Thanks again.

Hmm - Congrats and glad you like it but... I still don't like white... It's simply that cars, being 3d objects, look so much better in a colour, or black IMHO.

Enjoy though...

Autosmart Tardis is essential for tar sport. Wouldn't be without it.
