Hi, thought it'd be decent of me to introduce myself,

I'm James from Kent, 20 years old (soon to be 21) currently own a 2005 Fabia 1.4l 16v Sport (modified). I just bought myself a 2004 Fabia VRS on 90k miles (most of which are motorway), in silver with tinted windows all round. It's recently had new clutch, flywheel and cam-belt, full skoda service history, new tyres all round, re-furbished alloys (orignals), it comes with cruise control and multi-disc changer, didn't notice any scratches, scrapes or bumps, interior is also equally as clean. All for less than £5300, is this a steal? :)

Also, a quicky, when i phoned my insurance (Admiral) I told them I may be purchasing a VRS and asked for a quote, I gave the licence plate number and the operator read back that it's a 2003 Skoda Fabia VRS which was correct. After purchasing my VRS, I phoned to change over the insurance, I gave the new licence plate number and she read back that it's a Skoda Fabia VRS 'PD', are all VRS's titled VRS PD or is there something different about this one?

Oh, another quicky :p what are the best mods to begin with on the VRS and rough prices?

I hope I'm welcome :) and I'll try to get some pictures of my new baby (the car of course), on Saturday when I pick her up ;)

It means your Fabia vRS is fitted with the standard PD130 engine like most other Fabia vRS.

For info on tuning have a look in the Fabia 1 section on the forum and use the search function. There is a mountain of info on here. It is possible to acheive 250 - 300+bhp and 400+lbs/ft of torque if you have the desire (and the money)!

Haaaaii :) Thanks for answering my question. Makes a lot of sense, maybe the first operator didn't read the 'PD' part of the title when she searched for the car. Thanks for the tips, I have the desire but unfortunatly I can only dream for now of having the money to tune the car as much as that :)

A remap and a couple of other mods can see you up around the 175bhp mark with 300lbs/ft. Maybe a spend of £800?

Fabia vRS gives you serious bang for realistically a small amount of bucks.

Thanks for the info, would the other mods include, the PD160 intake, and a cat-back exhaust system? I've noticed the pair are fairly popular. My dad has always taken he's cars to JabbaSport to be tuned, not sure why as it's about a 2 and a half hour drive from us. Would you reccomend I go to someone with such reputation or would any re-map be 'good' enough?

Welcome aboard! :hi:

Looking forward to the pics...

Thanks, Hi :)
