Renewal quote came in at £35 or so less. I also received an email from confused at £100 less?

So i spoke to the renewal section and in the end i put the phone down as i couldnt be arsed with the "price increase cr*p being spouted".

I quoted that id been offered a price of £671 through confused and was being quoted by flux £715 but all i got was well " was you being offered legal" - sorry but i dont pay for extras "but i cant compare like for like" - fine i'll go elswhere if you cant help or you cant do a quote for car insurance!

Hiya,

If you Pm me your policy number and a contact telephone number, I will look into this for you and ask someone to call you.

Thanks

Dan

ill do you one better;

try getting a £2000 quote from adrian flux on my golf when last year it was £640, funny int it?

id also love an explanation as to why my golf is a group 21 an all.

thats a laugh isnt it!

Flux where always good with my insurance on my golf.. but last year renewal i found it a bit crap.. £340 for a car that remains in the garage and has done 0 miles for 2 years+

They werent going to do me a deal only offer to keep my no claims going. either..

Closest i got was a layaway policy which is no good if i got the car back on road even then it was £60 for year tpft (car with no iterior / no battery and on stands aint going anyhwere) lol

Didnt bother in the end. Didnt feel as tho i was a worthy customer

"id also love an explanation as to why my golf is a group 21 an all."

All insurance groups have changed from 1-20 to 1-50 on average cars tend to double their insurance group

IE if yours was a group 9.. it would be close to 18.. and so on.. all pending on model and spec

IIRC

hiya.

i am aware of the 1 to 50 system, i also asked about this to which adrian flux replied; "the golf is listed as a group 21 in the 1 to 21 group system."

its a joke tbh, especially when its only a group 8 aswell.

what makes me laugh is i have just bought a policy for £690, comprehensive cover, windscreen cover, legal cover, protected no claims and £0 excess.

so if a company can do that for me for 690 quid WTF is adrian flux wanting £2000 for the same thing!!!!!!

I've gone elsewhere as the way I look at it is - if you can't even quote me for a car insurance renewal then how could I trust you to sort out a claim effectively?

Sorry, but is Dan a real person or an Automated reply.

The guy said he has gone elsewhere and a send me your policy number and I'll look into it comes back! :dull:

They guy no longer has one and has voted with his wallet. Rather than fixing one instance, it's perhaps time you guys looked at the bigger picture.

These threads are not uncommon, so maybe a limited number of staff need re-training or systems and pricing options need looking at.

I don't know the answer, but seriously, I think the answer above is nonsensical bearing in mind the guy has already left.

Isn't flux just a broker ? If thats the case then maybe all the cheaper insurance companies aren't dealing with flux any more. Hence the higher prices.

couple of points on this:

If the requote had been fairly near the quote from axa i would have just renewed with flux BUT the operator couldn't deviate from the script she had, either that or she just was justing being bloody thick and awkward.

I had an email containg a questionair regarding the telephone converstaion i had - so whats the point of contacting "dan" or is the email i received "spam email" and does it go into the trash can upon return?

Doesn't really matter as i got my insurance so im covered for business use now.
