A few questions.

Featured Replies

As said above.. a few questions to annoy you all with ;).

1, When I start my engine from cold it sounds like I am still trying to turn the car over for about a second, but if I leave the car to warm up and turn it on and off it is fine. Is this somthing to worry about or not?

2, NOISE! :). I recently went to a pub club meet with some mates, chasing them down country roads listening to the sounds their cars make and noticing lack of noise from mine, I feel I want a half decent burble.

I don't like stupid exhausts that are constantly loud and don't fit the car. So I want a cheap, but semi-decent exhaust that doesnt kick in until you are giving it some beans.

So what is a good exhaust for that?

my non resonated miltek is good, not noisey and hardly noticeable till i did the downpipe and sports cat which unless you are doing turbo bk will be the same for most cat bk systems, unless you have one made up ie powerflow then u can choose sound level and tailpipe design

To answer your first question that sounds like your starter motor. The gears inside get worn out after a few years and it will start to screech every now and again when you start it, more so if the car is cold. You can either take it apart and try and fix it or replace it but they're something like £90 so the other option is to just live with it

For exhausts Blueflame and Milltek are both good systems that don't make much more noise than the standard system.

Well if its not a damaging issue then I will leave it, doesnt bother me.

Just gave it a youtube and I got this video up, sounds rather loud, but not to bad.

What sort of price do they reach?

heres mine not the best quality as done on my phone :smirk:

price depends on the system you go for cat bk or turbo bk

Am I going to loose anything from just going cat back rather than turbo? Also what is the difference with this option "Hi-Flow Sports Cat and Downpipe"?

you wont lose anything by goin cat bk but there are more gains/noise to be had from the downpipe sports cat and full system. me personally i got the non resonated system, instead of buying the miltek downpipe n sports cat i brought a de-cat downpipe off ebay £100 and got a sports cat £150 fitted to that savin £200
