What car are the wheels from?

What car are the wheels from?

they are just the standard 16x6.5 inch from the new vw beetle minus wheel trims.

I'm not a big fan of the steelies tbh but they look much better with that paint job.

cheers,

i have a love hate relationship with steelies myself.

i wasn't keen on just silver, made it look like a spanish hire car.emoticon-0136-giggle.gif so out came hammeriteemoticon-0175-drunk.gifemoticon-0167-beer.gif

The paint job makes them Dave.

I really quite like them myself.

Remind me a bit of old school beetle hubcaps for some reason.

Dubby... I like.

cheers mate,

thats kinda the look i was after, something old skool. anything but plain old silver or black plus they are only temporary wheels.

so why not have some fun with the paint setemoticon-0148-yes.gif

quite like that, something different emoticon-0148-yes.gif

where did you pick them up they look brilliant!

Pretty funky :)

Awwwwwww maaaaaaaannnn! I thought of this a while back but my photoshops didn't look to good so abandoned the concept.. shame as if I'd just done them they'd a looked **** hot going by your results!

Hasn't someone else done this recently but they're not on the car yet? Or was that you and I'm getting confused?

My plan included a chrome hub cap Beetle style though.. perhaps it was the hub cap that just didn't work on my photoshops, aye well!

:)

Oh no, just found the other guy! lol.. It was indeed you sir! Think I need more sleep ;)

yeah it was him that had this idea.

my steelies are still in the post!! grrrr!!! going from 14inch alloys to these! should make quite a difference to the feel of the car!

nice wheels mate, I was thinking of doing these to my audi pepperpots, dont know wither to paint most of the wheel like you have done or just paint where the centre cap would have covered...

dont think the caddy ones will fit, i tried them of my work van, (new shape caddy), the caddy wheel centers are supposed tofit over the wheel bolts and the pcd of the new caddy is not the same as the Fabia :(

[edit]

just found out there are a couple of different types of trim for the caddy... the ones I know dont fit are this type:

there is a different type that covers the whole centre bit, ... not knowing if they fit or not :(
