Ok.. attempted to pic messaging lastt night

Sent fine. but recieing is a diff sorry. They do not reach my phone..

Im on orange.. sender is a non Iphone user on 02

Any ideas to crack this one? are they compatible or is it a settings thing?

What iphone is it, I know that older ones weren't able to picture message but as you can send them I'm not too sure whats going on. Do you get a message with a link to a website?

Are you using a Jailbroken iPhone, they tend to F*** everything up (Searched google and found this out)

I suspect your setting are not correct.

Go into

Settings>general>network>cellular data network

and check you have the correct MMS settings for your network.

New 3gs on orange

Nothing is delivered locally to the phone

No url as you would when non compatitable MMS is sent/recieved

when im in network

I have the following settings

Enable 3g (on)

Data roaming (off)

Set up internat tethering

VPN

Wi-Fi

Did the phone come from Orange and is it on Contract or PAYG.

Can you not go into Cellular Data Network?

Its orange on contract.

You want Settings --> General --> Network --> Cellular Data Network

On mine, unlocked and on O2, the Cellular Data Network option is between the "Enable 3G" option and the "Data Roaming Option". The option was there before the phone was unlocked too

Maybe Orange are removing the option to stop you playing, but if you can send an MMS I would have thought you could receive one too

Only if you do it wrong. Most run fine (including my previous 3g and now my 3gs).

As for the OP, go to the orange website and request a text with the settings in. When it arrives, it will automatically install the latest correct settings.
