she passed again today.

thats the MOT passed agiain for another year. Was a bit worried this time tho for some reason. but she passed with no advisories.

I always watch my MOT, and then I have anything bad pointed out to me. This year my only advisory was a tyre which was getting close to the limit, everything else was fine.

This year, in preparation, I had a new windscreen, washed and vacuumed it, and that was about it :yes: She is a good girl really :p

Been using the same MOT station for the past forty years and every year I get some stupid remark.

Last year it was rear brakes binding, need to take car in to have it sorted. I just slackened the handrake off a couple of notches. Simples.

Year before it was an illegal rear number plate, it didnt have the BS Kitemark on it.

Year before that it was the side lights not showing a pure white light.

Thing is they have never ever checked the exhaust emissions on each car I have taken in, and I have had a few.

For a couple of years I used to get the comment "large engine undertray prevents full visual inspection" or something like that. Now unless the tray has fallen off and I haven't noticed then maybe some rules have changed?

I know with some of my previous cars I would get an advisory - say low brake pads, and the following year (not having changed them), there would be no comment at all. I guess I am fortunate enough to notice when something seems wrong with my car, unlike some of my work mates who seem to think that the car should be perfect between services / MOTs and never need any work doing apart from at those points in time. :no:

Dunno how you get away without ever having had an emissions test....
