My Dealer is hoping to have a demo vehicle by end of June but says the dates may 'slip'

My wife wants a green one with a black roof.

We will be the first to be there for a test drive when they get one in

Dont hold your breath...seems Skoda arnt too bothered about their UK customers at the moment...I bought an Elegance Estate that was already shipped to Emden, to wait a buyer...ie me and so far its still there 11 days after the sale and the dealer cannot give me any date for Skoda shifting their ass to move it.....first Skoda but so not impressed I`m thinking of cancelling and buying a Nissan, at least they have stocks in hand....

It could be worse, you could have ordered a Yeti. 3-4 month wait on those.

I'd rather have a fresh car anyway than one that's been sitting around in an airfield for 6 months waiting for a buyer.

Hmmmm, first view my dealer has is for a mid-Sept delivery. We ordered mid-May so that will be 4 months for a Fabia Elegance! Hopefully when the actual build is in the system that date will come down to late August so we can have an early September delivery.

I wonder if VRs production will take place over lesser models?

I doubt it. I rekon they will be just as long a wait. Going on reputation of the original mk1 vRS I reckon they are gonna be in high demand. I know the petrol/diesel thing may be an issue to some but I think if you want one you will have a long wait.

Had an E-mail from Skoda after I registered interest in the vRS and the date it goes on sale is 29th July

No same here. Probably give it 6 months to let it all quieten down, see what common faults arise and if there is a good deal to be had I may change.
