Front brake troubles....

I put my car into the dealer today to have the front brakes looked at..... both front calipers have binded on at some point over the past few weeks,

but got quite bad towards the end of last week, so booked it in to have it checked out.

I was thinking something along the lines of worn caliper seals, or the assemblies were needing stripped and reassembled ?

They've just came back saying there is an air leak in the master cylinder, found while trying to bleed the system.... a whopping £600 to replace !!

Could this be a cause, or is it just another problem to add to the list ?
