new superb estate

Featured Replies

hi ...i was on the motorway the other day and saw this new superb estate coming up behind me, and i must admit , it was rather imposing and good looking. Now i am not jeremy clarkson, but i have to point out, that it was raining when this superb went past me, and to be honest, i wasnt very impressed with the intensity of the rear lights in side lights mode.

It looked as if it was barely lit, compared to other cars also with their side lights on. Now a while later, a superb hatch/boot model went by also with side lights on, and his lights were noticebly brighter, and when the brake lights were applied i could make it out quite clearly, where as the estate version wasnt as bright as i would have liked to see...especially if i was owning one...and it would be nice for the drivers behind to see a really bright pair of lights when applied.

Also, i thought the new estate brake lights were somewhat smaller when brakes were applied compared to the hatch/boot sister....has anyone else noticed this? Personally, i was wondering if the wrong tail lamp bulbs were fitted, as a car of this quality should have much more intensity....to save any confusion...i was refering to the n/s/r and o/s/r lights and not the led strip that is built in the tail gate......what are your views on this subject?

what are your views on this subject?

Not seen one on the road yet (only at a dealers) so can't comment on their brightness, but IMO it's such a pity they don't (yet?) offer LED rear light clusters - i dont mean the chavvy saxo etc ones but OE looking lights but with LED's installed (like the Pasat etc - but ideally not clear lenses)

erm... honestly, never had my lights on and been behind me on the motorway, but will get out and check them soon... or get someone to follow me..! :giggle:
