When will i get my YETI

Featured Replies

Needed to start this topic as i have been waiting for my new YETI since the 3 April and have a delivery date of the beginning of July but i have not heard from the dealer for over 5 weeks now since he left a message on my phone.

After test drving this car i knew i had to have it, and the exclusivity of the car makes it even more special, but i am worried that this delivery date will slip and i will be wating even longer. This is to keep you updated on the progess and to vent some frustration as my current car has broken air con and only three doors ( have a 2 year old girl) which makes it tuff to get her in and out.

The spec is a 1.2SE TSI in black with no extras, build date last week in June.. will update as and when i anything changes or i just need to vent my frustration

Welcome to the forum jake.

I would suggest calling your dealer EVERY day until they come up with some encouraging information. If they are close pay them a visit, and say you're not happy about being kept in the dark.

Hope you don't have to wait toooooo long

Hi Jake,

A bit confused! emoticon-0124-worried.gif You state early in your message a "delivery date beginning of July" then go on to say "build date last week in July". The build date usually comes about 2 to 3 weeks before the delivery date.

Anyway, from the other posts in this forum, I would expect anything from 8 to 12 weeks delivery. As you state, you've not gone for any extras which should help considerably in reducing the waiting time.

Hassle the dealer for some info!!! Mine were OK but it was me that had to do all the chasing up also.

Opss. meant to say Build week last week in JUNE not july... going to ring the dealer today and see what he says.. have never waited this long for a car before..

... have never waited this long for a car before..

Neither have I! Even my brand new Audi TT (last car) only took 3 months. The Yeti has taken 4 months and 1 week. Some poor B's are even having to wait longer. emoticon-0120-doh.gif

we ordered our bog standard 1.2 s, on april 1st..have been told build 1st week july, delivery august :S ...no extras at all...so were looking at 18 weeks or so :(

Thats even longer then i have been told, i have spoken to the garege this morning and they are going to check to make sure that date is still valid,. Why do i have the feeling that the date may change...

have had confrimation from the dealer that the build date of end of the month is still current so delivery first/second week in july.... He seemed pretty confident that this would not change,

Ordered mine through a lease dealer (with a few extras, but no sunroof!) on 25th May and have just had it confirmed for a week 30 build date (1st week of August), so delivery is supposed to occur during last week of August / start Sept. That means approx 14 weeks in all :(

ordered mine 12th April was due for build this week (week 22) - just phoned my garage and there is no chassis number on the system so at present it's not been completed.

Nice admin lady will give me an update on Wednesday - sales guy is working at another site, appears to have been for weeks, so no information from him!

We ordered our 1.2 SE DSG 1st April, been told by dealer this week that it will be built last week in June for July(sometime!) delivery. Looks like maybe Skoda factory having a session on building RH drive Yetis at end June..... we can but hope!!! Jessica

Think you mat be right about that, looking at other posts alot of people who ordered beginning of april have been told end of june for build delivery in july.. Maybe we will start to see more of them on the road all about the same time...

Any idea as to when they build UK Yeti's - every week or every month, I've seen both quoted in various threads??

Although my dealer has not been brilliant at keeping in touch with what's going on he does seem very keen to make the sale in JUNE - as I am :) - he has asked if he can register in June even if I pick up early in July.

He did suggest that he would extend the road tax by the same amount of time? Must be keen to meet the quarters sales figures?

Hi,

Just to give my Order History for my Yeti 140CR SE. Options :- Rough Road Package, Met Paint, Lumbar Support, Tow Bar prep, Spare Wheel.

Ordered Feb 10th, from Main Dealer.

Built on May 9th (had been brought forward from end of May apparently, following enquiry to dealer as to status).

Informed by dealer that car at Emden docks May 13th waiting shipping. Said possibly 2 weeks.

On ringing dealer on 25 th May was happily informed a transporter had just arrived as we were speaking! with my car aboard!

They said just had to fit Towbar and picked up vehicle on Friday 28th May.

As my partner said it was a long wait but well worth it. The car handles beautifully and is even more comfortable for my partners back injury than our Roomster which was good. Both of us have been big mileage users in the past ( each over 50,000 miles annually as volunteer ambulance car drivers) so we gave the Yeti a detailed road test from 4 different dealers covering over 28 hours driving. This reinforced the view that this was the car to go for.

Hope this encourages anyone waiting for their Yetis.

Kind Regards Rod.

Hi Rod,

Thanks for the detail.

We were phoned today, by the nice admin lady, to say the car had left the factory and was on route to the UK.

Expected in the UK towards the end of June - for deliver a few days latter.

Who's a happy bunny.

Been a while since i posted, with a ill child under two and work just not had the chance to check the web site... Well still no firm delivery date for my yeti and i am now getting to the stage where i am considering cancelling the order and going somehwere else, my current car is due for service an MST etc the end of july and if they cannot garuntee delivery by then i am not paying best part of £400 punds to keep this one on the road...

Skoda really need to address this delivery time on their cars, to wait more then 12 weeks for even a delivery date for a car is very poor and the dealers never call i have had two convesations with the sales guy since April when i ordered the car... both of which i have called him for.. I read about how good the car is but if the pre-delivery service is this bad does not fill you with much confidence at all....

Maybe they will surprise me and when i call this week i will have a frim date but i doubt it... :-(

we had a call today...build week confirmed as next week, thats from an april 1st order.......so hopefully we should have ours end july B)

I ordered mine beg May and still no build date but must admit the 7 weeks have flown by, and now with the 3 week shutdown I probably wont hear until August but hey ho she will get here eventually (hopefully before the 20% VAT lol).

:)

ours is getting built next week, so sent out before summer shutdown( thank god)....roll on delivery sometime in july

To my amazement called the dealer today and the Beast has been built and if not already on the way to be on the way by the end of the week, they are saying I should have delivery within the first 10 days of July....there was not hint from the dealer that this was the case the last time i spoke to them and it has been a complete surprise.. Not a bad end to the week England actually remomber how to play football and get through to the last 16 and the Beast is on the way...

I am soon to be one very Happy Yeti owner..

lucky for you jake....we ordered before you, and as normal have another 4 weeks wait, there is certainly no build schedule standard at skoda it seems  ah well...4 weeks aint too bad :p

  • Author

Another update from the dealer, the beast is currently in Germany and will be at the port by tomorrow, so it should be in the UK by the beginning of next week.. so he reckons once the paper is done i should get the car second weekend in July.. it's all happening today from not knowing if the car was ever going to be built to may have it in the next couple of weeks...i may even celebrate and buy my Daughter the YETI toy from the dealer...
