Forge Recirculation Dump Valve FMCL007P?

Mate who bought my old cupra has changed to a turbosmart dump valve and offered me this and I said it won't fit but he reckons it should!

Would it fit and not cause any problems!

I'd guess not, unless you have a 1.8 conversion in there. Plus dump valve on a diesel? Bit pointless really.

thats wot i thought but he saying they must have recirculation valves as standard!

You're confusing a dump valve with an exhuast gas recirculation valve.Two completely different pieces of kit.

They dont have any type of dump valve on the diesel i'm afraid.

You can get one though, guy on Ibiza forum has one... rolled up at a VAG show - chugga chugga whoosh! ****!

So I take it the forge 007p recirculation valve won't fit then mate?

The way I understand it, and I'm not in any way mechanically minded so don't quote me, diesels don't have a throttle valve so there's nothing stopping the pressure from the turbo and therefore no reed to dump or recirculate the air. This includes the vRS as it's a diesel. So I'd say that it doesn't have one as standard.

And a VERY good reason why not to buy/fit one! emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Cool! Neither am I mate! Hence I asked cos the bloke was 100% sure they fitted!
