im plannig to have the spiders refurbished soon so to complement them im thinking the

arches and tyres should get a few steps closer

i dont want a harsh ride and would like to keep the ride almost the same as now, so im avoiding coilovers (plus i dont want to spen that much)

can anyone recommend me some lowering springs? brands etc etc

experiances and advice greatly appreciated,

Eibach or H&R are the best, but there are many reputable lowering spring manufacturers.

Any lowering will reduce ride quality, and you don't want to lower more than 1" on standard shock absorbers.

a mild lowering spring kit along with 10-15mm spacers would make a huge difference.

Eibach do not make springs suitable for the vRS.

I'm running mine on Eibach springs and 15mm spacers. The handling is excellent, and the ride is good too.

These people that say Eibach dont make a spring for the vRS are wrong. I drive my car everyday and the spring rate is definately spot on.

Look at the Eibach site and you will see that Eibach "DO NOT" make a specific spring for the Mk1 Octy vRS, the rear poundage is totally wrong fro the Octy vRS.

I went through this years ago when trying out all different types of suspension for my old Octy vRS, (as Awesome will confirm), and I even contacted Eibach direct and their reply was "DO NOT FIT THEM" to the Mk1 Octy vRS.

Have a word with Sarah at Awesome and ask her for her honest opinion.

The company that do is H&R

These did retail at £140 + VAT , then H&R put them up to £202 + VAT

Now , we have reduced the price as we have sourced them cheaper
