Featured Replies

looks like the SMOC might have come up with a new paint colour;

I think my fellow adventures called it 'two tone' Although I think Skoda might prefer Elan Dust for their brochure emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

You might well be right in it being a new colour - actually it looks very like the photo on cover of the new (May 2010) Yeti brochure.

Elan Dust - a two tone dusting job, like caster sugar to top off a cake - except, that is, for the reversing sensors which must have dust repellant properties!!

Makes you realise what testing these cars go through ahead of a life in the deserts of Africa, let alone mid-Wales!!4672706862_86f6eb8c15.jpg

To hell with taking them to the desert from now on, just give me the job of driving them up and down Claerwen!! :rofl:

AWESOME pics TP, thanks for shareing with us B)

Great pic TP. Looks great when a 4x4 actually looks like its been off-road. Hope you drove it home like that and didn't wash it first! B)

Hi Octy888,

yep she came home wearing her badge of honer emoticon-0100-smile.gif although the rain on the M62 onwards washed some of it off emoticon-0120-doh.gif

Both the "Elan Dust" Yetis in the picture seem to have a vertical line of extra thick dust in the middle of their tailgate windows.

Anybody got any kind of explanation for this?

Hi,

the line is I believe caused by windscreen wash from the rear washer nozzle, that has been ejected out due to the bumpy terrain.

We had our windows and sunroof B) firmly shut as there were huge amounts of dust.... even keeping about 4 Yeti lengths behind each other!!

But very pleased to report with the air con on and the recycle button inside Hettie the Yeti were dust free and remained cool through the whole :sun: journey - excellent seals around doors/windows and air inlets :clap:

...and no need to clean the inside at least!! :D
