how often should the oil be changed in my 2002 1.9tdi octavia automatic?

IS there any special way to change it or is it simply drain old oiil and refill with new?

Skoda want £199+ vat to change it, stupidly high price - no way on earth would I pay that

Has anyone any instructions on how to change it? or how often it needs changing?

Anyone near Manchester want to do it for me? I dont mind paying but no way and I paying anything near what Skoda want, I'd rather get rid of the car first.
