Trouble with my order (technical question)

Featured Replies

My new Skoda Superb II Combi Elegance is now ready in the factory. Now it´s on the way to my country. My seller told me yesterday that something went wrong with my order and the "buisness-pack" that I order with

Park Assist, Sunset glass, bolero, bluetooth and multi-steering wheel is missing on the car. I asked him if it was possible to get the car back to the factory, but he said it was not possible because the car is almost here.

He wants to discuss with me how we can manage to solve the problem.

Do you know if it´s possible to install the Buisness-pack afterwards at my local dealer?

Any other advices?

Sorry for my bad english

Reject the order, Simple as, Dont take the car, and dont be talked into it by being told about long wait times for new orders, The dealer can "manage" the situation by re-ordering your car and HEAVILY discounting it for putting you out, accept NO Compromise

i suppose some of your items can be fitted alter... but...

Park Assist - as far as i know, no way!

Sunset glass - yes, but will be film rather than tinted glass...

bolero, bluetooth and multi-steering wheel should be easier.

But, as above, i would reject it!

Chrome5, I would definitely not accept any after market (non-factory) updating. The on board computer that connects the blue tooth and the park assist with the steering wheel, radio, etc probably will not work properly. The windows will not look proper either. If these items mean a lot to you do not accept the car. They have not fullfilled their end of the contract. You are in the drivers seat. Your dealer could search all the Swedish dealers for a similiar car to the one you ordered or he should discount the car tremendously. I have just received my combi and my dealer (Nacka) has three combis in his showroom that I'm sure he'd love to sell you. Although not wishing to get you more frustrated I love my new Superb. Yesterday I got stopped by a police control and although he asked me to do an alco test he spent some time looking over my car, Inside and out; afterwhich he said good looking car, I'm going to buy one too.

Looks like a 6k reduction is the rrp to me.

You are in control, he's got a car you didn't order, you don't have to accept it, and he has to reduce it, if he starts all the bull with you, state a double vodka is more than a single, and he can either supply what you ordered or return your deposit, believe me the last thing he wants is this car unsold and you walking, mash his head mate.

And for the fair play ppl, believe me, the dealer will have you analy if he can, so never be afraid or guilty to return the favour, they will sell you a faulty car, they will sell you 45% interest, and they will sleep soundly afterwards, I'd be pushing him for a 25% reduction myself on the car, especially if I really wanted the extras, the radio can be replaced for £400 with a China unit that looks like a Bolly, the tints are £200, so get 6k off and spend 1k at the races.

Thanks for your answers!

Well, the items that I order means a lot to me. That´s the car I want. So the first step is that the seller has to reorder or looking after another car in Sweden.

But I don´t know if I have the right to reject the car. In swedish law there must be something very wrong with the car to do that.

But, in a another hand I`m the buyer and I have the rights and the contract on my side.

I would be very surprised if the contract you have with the dealer is not covered in Swedish law . You specified exacltly what you wanted . The dealer agreed to supply this ( & probably accepted a deposit as part payment ) . This is a legally binding contract. The dealer cannot change the spec of the car without your agreement. Stick to you agreement.

No deposit, the seller said he trusted me :wonder:

As far as I can tell you still have not had a serious talk with your dealer. You really need to see him; after you decide what you really want to do about this situation.. Personally I think you should insist on the car as it was ordered. I assume that you haven't ordered anything super special for your car so there are probably similiar cars somewhere in Sweden (at someSkoda retailer) that you may be willing to accept. I am sure your dealer should be able get you one of these. I also know dealers often help each other out. Who is your dealer?
