Hey Lads

Just a quick post to introduce meself. New machine coming in 6 weeks and counting ........

Salesman told me that with the '05 model you got 17" rims, had read some of the posts here before buying and thought that was standard spec for the VRS. He's also said 8 speaker system and side airbags are new for '05, was he just talking up the car are or these real changes?

Also thinking about going to Jabba in about a years time for the remap and have been reading as many posts about it as possible but couldn't find the answer to

1) Can a remap seriously damage the engine

2) If not why does it not come at optimum performance

If this has been answered in a previous post please ignore. Don't know much about this kind of stuff as last motor was a fiesta, it's been a long hard save....

17"s are standard for the hatchback, 16"s on the estate. I haven't got side airbags so that bit's right, think I may have 8 speakers :confused:

Think I'll leave your more contentious questions to someone wiser than me !

EDIT. I've just realised that I don't know what sort of Vrs, above applies to Octavia I know nothing about the Fabia

EDIT #2. Just checked your profile, it would seem to be an Octy
