Front Centre Armrest

Featured Replies

Hello fellow Yeti Folk,

Whilst I adore my car I have recently felt that a centre armrest (not standard on my lowly S model) would make cruising along that bit more relaxing, At the moment my left arm often rests on my lap.

Have any of you more technically minded or adventurous Yetites looked into retro fitting the front centre armrest? If it was straight forward I would consider pricing up the parts and having a go at fitting it. I have a feeling that with those rear air vents (have I got that right?) adding the armrest would be a little tricky. I am also not sure that the armrest would reach my arm now that I have raised my seating position a bit. Do any of you with armrests find that it doesn't go high enough or is it ok? Should I just buy a cushion and put it on top of the handbrake?

Thanks :)

Hi shrub,

I don't have a car yet so can not directly help but do you have a copy of the manual that sells on e-bay?

I bought this and loaded it today - it does seem, at first glance, to have a lot of data and for £10 delivered it looks like a good buy?

Hi

My centre armrest is a standard fit and has a height and forward reach adjustment so it goes where you want under the armrest you have the standard storage etc and at the rear facing the rear seats a vent and a small fold out storage pocket like a ashtray i suppose.

I cant see a reason bar the vent plumbing if you wanted to connect them that it cant be fitted in on your car.

hope this helps

Peter

I wonder if this company offer a product:

http://www.armrests-uk.com/armster_armrest_products.htm.

Although they don't as yet list a fitting for the Yeti, they do have other Skoda models.

Thanks for all of the replies everyone. I am going to take a look at the diagrams and see what would be involved. If I go for it I will be sure to post pictures and a report of the process here.

Thanks Sanqhar, the link works fine for me - nice looking product.

I now have a technical diagram courtesy of TP

I have decided to have a sit in an SE or Elegance model next time I pop into a Skoda dealer and see how the height of the armrest works for me.
