I am interested in installing an amp for the speakers (4 of them right?) for a carPC i am planning on including. In order for this to work I need to install a touch screen in the place of the standard double DIN headunit. With the stero gone, i need to find a way of powering the speakers and the easiest way of doign this is via an amp & a soundcard from the PC sendign signals to the amp.

My questions are:

Has anyone ever put an amp into their mk2 octy?

By removing the Headunit will i still keep my rear parking sensors etc? obs just without the display.
