Yeti carrying capacity

Featured Replies

Anybody know if a 2.4m (eight feet or so in old money) plank will fit into a Yeti. With the back seats folded I guess, and with no passenger ...

BTW, can the back seats be removed entirely? The brochure suggests so, but I just want to double-check!

Hi!

The back seats can be removed individually, eiter one or then all of them if needed. The system is the same as in the Roomster: flip, fold and remove!

I think your problem will the be front passenger seat - I am not sure if it can be folded forward entirely to create the necessary space, but at least you should be able to fold the front passenger backwards as much as possible. Protect the seating and you will be able to load amazingly much into your SM. I am not sure on the 2,4m, so you had better measure before you start loading unless someone else knows for sure.

Disclaimer: I have not yet received my own SM, but as a Roomster-owners since 3 years back I have a fairly good idea of what can be done.

The front seat doesn't lay entirely flat, but with the head rest removed you will be able to get a 2.4m plank into the Yeti (rear door to dash is roughly 2.6m).

As already said the rear seats can be folded and removed into some thing like 20 different configurations. There's a video on the Skoda website, showing them all.

Useful little set of videos, thanks. Not sure the young lady should be twiddling with the touch-screen radio controls while driving :)
