More creaking after fitting rear ARB?

Featured Replies

Had the Neuspeed rear ARB fitted last week. It's removed a lot of the built-in understeer and the car feels much more "precise" around corners now.

There's a lot more suspension creaking from the back of the car now, though. It's not particularly loud; in fact it's only really noticeable on typical urban roads (30MPH limit, badly resurfaced after being dug up by utility companies). On smooth roads it isn't audible, and at higher speeds it fades into the general road noise.

Is this to be expected, or should I take a closer look to see that it's been fitted right?

I get a little bit of creak when transversing across very uneven surfaces because one wheel extends on its spring and the other compresses, but not during normal driving (or so that I can hear anyway). My assumption is that this is caused by the roll bar twisting in the bushes to allow for suspension travel. Did whomsoever fit it use a liberal coating of the supplied lubricant on the bushes? (I noted that the instruction say not to forget an annual lubrication of these bushes also.)

No creaking on mine, but there will be if they expect me to relube those bushes!! No way i am taking that thing off again, it was hard enough getting the things around the axle once ;)
