What Size brakes

Featured Replies

Looking round for Brake discs etc for the Silver Slingshot and i keep getting told i have a choice of 2 sizes

280mm front discs or 288mm front discs.

Does anyone know the correct sizes for a 2008 Estate (apart from me whipping a wheel off to measure)

Hmmm, I was under the impression it was 312mm vented on the front and 288mm vented on the rear - Euro Car Parts appears to back this up..........???

I think it depends on which caliper you have as to which size.

Can you post a pic of the caliper?

FS III callipers = 280mm (you will see FS III clearly stamped in the calliper)

ATE callipers = 288mm

vRS has ATE callipers and 312mm brake discs.

I found it thanks folks

For 2008 2.0 TDI PD140 DSG L&K models ( apparently the L&K have different brakes again )

288mm x 25mm front vented discs

260mm x 12mm rear solid discs

Cheers for the replies

L&K has the same callipers as the vRS at the front, so with the right carriers and a set of 312mm discs, you can use the existing pads and callipers to run the new set up. :)
