Good hiding from Seat Surgeons

Featured Replies

My car received a bespoke leather interior today. It's black nappa with matching stitching to seats, arm/head rests and door cards. The car now fully deserves its 'Elegance' title, having given the interior a real lift. Many thanks to Seat Surgeons, especially the two Paul's, for all their help and for providing such a great result.

A top quality job and a pleasant day spent in the lovely City of York.

Any pics?

How much does this kind of thing cost?

You can't put a post on like this with no pictures!

Please post some soon.

Very nice, elegant even

What was the cost in the end?

Have to say, they look really good. Really good.

Bet they cost a packet though.....?

Thanks for the comment, I'm very pleased with the result. I deliberately kept it simple in the end, black leather with matching stitching which hopefully is inoffensive and classy. As for cost it was £1200 but considering that's for full Nappa leather that is reasonable. After all, Skoda charge £1400 for a lower quality hide which is not applied to the seat backs.

In addition to Nappa, Seat Surgeons do offer cheaper grades.

 They do look very nice. I'd certainly consider this as an alternative to the expensive factory option. Looking at SS website as well, there's a great range of colours.

Is there an insurance implication though? I'd have thought this would be considered a pretty substantial modification and I can see most insurance companies falling over themselves to increase premiums if you declare it, or screw you over at a later date if you don't?

Ta.

They look good. Quite similar in look to the vRS leather seats.

Yep, I chose the OEM style all in smooth. Toyed with different/ perforated panelling and even contrast stitching but chickened out of that one and kept it simple.

me-likeee.

Looks good, classy, understated, factory-fit look to it. Good call. Expensive, but if you plan to keep the car for a while then well worth it.

Notified mine (HSBC via Zurich) today, details amended, no charge as I anticipated.

Very, very nice. Enjoy!

Very nice indeed.

It's on my shopping list at some stage in the future, but I'll be going for the standard leather, not nappa, and there just might be some colour in it somewhere

That does look a really tidy job though

i wonder if they could do the std vRS seats to look like the leather upgrade package??

That looks really nice, and as you say better quality than OEM for less cash

I saw your car being worked on. I work very near to the Seat Surgeons :)

I've not seen many Octavia's being done there yet, looks great tho

Don't suppose you saw a silver Mk2 vRS in a nearby carpark when you were leaving? ;)

I did indeed  Paul at S.S. gave me a lift into York and I caught the train back later that day. Noticed it when I walked back from the station. We all seem to have a sharp eye for anything Skoda. Its a small world.
