FL VRS Vinyl Wrap

Featured Replies

Had my car in for a urethane front wrap and window tints - shop also does vinyl wrapping so I had a few bits done as well ..

Here in Saudi Arabia it is very important to protect the front of the car if you do any motorway driving as the sand wears out the paint very fast - sometimes the sand is so bad it can completely wipe out the front end of a car in a 2 hour drive, that happened in my previous golf once - (glass HID) headlights were completely frosted white, paint was stripped down and windshield became rough as well ...

Anyway I won't let that happen to my new VRS! here you can get clear protection films, they wrap the front bumper, leading edge of the bonnet and wings, wing mirrors and A-pillars.

Got the windows tinted with Huper Optik films as well

Got the front grille frame done in matte black, I think chrome has no place on a sport car

B-Pillars in matte black as well:

Finished:

Very nice job indeed.

I just finished doing a full venture shield paint protection wrap on my bike, tank, fairing and side panels to keep stone ships at bay and stop the luggage from wearing through the paint.

i was expecting a completing vinyl wrapped car but this is still pretty kool :)

Your b pillars look good but I would have gone for shiny black, sorry don't like the grill would have been better if you colour coded the chrome.Amazing what the sand can do, and we worry about stone chips!

I can change it - I'll leave it for a few days to see it in different lighting..

And I understand what you mean about the grille, the photos don't do it justice but in person it looks good. Anyway it is vinyl so I can just peel it off anytime if I change my mind

Very Interesting; thanks for this.

very nice job it looks very goodemoticon-0148-yes.gif

Agreed, the grille looks really nice

Interesting initial post - thanks for that.

Sarge.

Looks really good, from what I can tell the wrap is invisible.

I have to agree i think the grill looks really good

Just noticed the roof as well, I think you've really nailed it! I wanted to do that to my car......but its already black! :giggle:

I dont like the grill, but the roof suits it

That's amazing. How long does it last looking that good?

grill looks spot on.

btw how long does the protection last for?

Some Vinyl wraps last ten years!!

normally up to about 3 though as its easier to remove then.

With all that sand though maybe its a lot less.

They've given me a 10 year warranty on:

  • peeling/installation problems
  • discolouration/cracking
  • sand wear

They promised to re-do it free if anything of the sort happens, even if caused by sand

Thanks for all the comments everyone,,,

Good thinking about that.. May have to check local peeps to see who does it around my way

Anyone able to photo shop a red preface lift vrs with black roof :) hehe or maybe anthrasite. *sp*
