Just got the this week`s copy of Auto Express and there is one of the first road tests of the new FL Fabia in it on page 42..Sadly its quite a short report in the new cars section, but gives it a very good write up getting 4 out of a possible 5 stars ..They tested the Hatchback 1.2 105bhp DSG..being particularly impressed with the new 1.2 engine. They quote the 0-60 time as 10.4 but say, like we do, that the mid range torque makes it feel much faster.

They are impressed with the ride quality just as much as build quality and give as its nearest rival the Ford Fiesta but say to equal performance of the Fabia you would have to buy the uneconomical 1.6

To quote their First Opinion `` Skoda has again done what it does best. The Fabia is a great all rounder for those on a budget, and boasts class leading build quality you`d expect of a VW Group product. The exterior tweaks are hard to spot but the refreshed engine line up has given it a new lease of life``

I`d say its a pretty good all rounder for those that arnt on a budget

I'm presuming the magazine is the same as the above? A good review by all accounts - might still by the mag for my archive!
