I have recently had remote locking installed on my fabia, and the remote is just a small fob that attatches to the key ring. The key is the same.

I have seen places that sell the flip keys for specific models, but I was wondering if anyone knew if it is possible to get a flip remote key made for my car. The key and fob are fairly unattractive because it's green.

sorry i can't help ypu but how muich did it cost to have the remote locking fitted and where did you get it done?

I had it done at a skoda garage, and you probably dont want to know the price lol, quite expensive. You can get it done much cheaper elsewhere!

I thought I should mention that the remote locking system that the garage used is 'META system' or at least the remote is anyway.

Doesn't the Fabia S come with remote central locking? The FL brochure states so. I ordered a factory fit alarm for our car (Fabia S 1.2 12v) and it came with two remote Skoda badged flip out key fobs. So far all going well.

the fl model has but the level 1 trim pre fl doesn't

I imagine the dealer could supply a genuine flip key providing it will accept the META coding. If you bought one elsewhere you would probably have to take it to a dealer to get it coded for the immobiliser anyway. I think it looks like quite an expensive exercise
