Steering creaking

Featured Replies

Just reversed onto the drive and noticed a creaking when turning from side to side, not quite to full lock though, noise is coming from beneath the car (not the column) - is there something I can lube to stop this?

Not so sure it is the steering now as if I grasp the rear of the roof rail and rock the car it makes the same creaking noise - could this be the shocks?

Just had a thought - is there any bushes that can cause a creaking noise when they dry up as I've done a fair bit of pressure washing underneath lately?

i had the same problem a while ago, my strut mounts where turning along with the struts due to damaged bearings. the rubber mounts rubbing against the inside of the strut tower caused this noise.

You could check if this is your case  .
