Lowered on springs

Featured Replies

Hi Guys - quick topic to help me out with some burning questions i have..

when the fab vrs is lowered on springs only and not coilovers, does anyone have any problems with it catching on speed bumps?

reason i ask is because i have just put mine back to standard after having a set of spax springs fitted. car looked mint with them on, but the ride was really harsh and also it caught every speedbump in the land (lowered 35-40mm).

does anyone with the eibach's have this problem? it was the undertray that was catching on everything, so would you recommend getting rid of it, or does it cancel out some of the engine noise?

just so many questions!!!!

i am thinking of getting some eibachs onto it because as smooth as it may drive now, it just looks wrong! i know that this may spark a few people shouting 'get some coilovers' but budget really will not allow!!

thanks for your comments....

Im catching mine on standerd in and out of my house (if i leave in a hurry) so god knows what mines gonna be like WHEN my koni strt kit arrives!

ive jsut fit the koni strt kit and cupra bushes last sunday, so far no probs on speedbumps but i am takin it easy on them lol, handles like a total different car, great kit, B)

im lowered on weitec coilies and only catch if im going a little to quik over speed bumps , never caught when i had eibachs on tho emoticon-0148-yes.gif
