We are going to order our Superb estate on monday and i am totally confused on options regarding the towbar. What options have other users chosen and are you happy with this? Should we have factory prep or not? Our dealer has advised not to have prep and to have 3rd party towbar fitted; am concerned about warranty.

In answer to your previous question........you shouldn't have any problems with parking sensors when a tow bar is fitted if you get someone who knows what they're doing!

I would opt for the aftermarket tow bar and not factory prep.......you're likley to get a quality piece of kit for less money.

I've been told the same from our local dealer (supplies all our company cars) don't order factory prep and they will get indespension to fit the tow bar for me prior to delivery £420+VAT for the detachable on the estate. Hope this helps

I went for the aftermarket option (twin boot not estate though). Very pleased, it is a removable system, cost a little over £400 but was very impressed with the installation and the wiring so money well spend in the end. My Skoda dealer (Mitchel) recommended them to me, they said that if anyone requests a tow bar they send it to them. Enough said really, if the dealer goes the aftermarket route then that was good enough for me.
