New car was ordered in mid April from the dealer in Ipswich who gave me a good price nearly matching Drive the Deal, thanks Rod.

Octavia 2.0 TDI CR vRS estate DSG in silver metallic with leather seats, rear parking sensors, Maxidot, spacesaver spare, and xenon headlights.

Can't wait to see how the performance compares with my existing Peugeot 307 2.0hdi xsi (170bhp and 370nm courtesy of Spider) One things for sure it will ride and go round corners better.

The worst thing now is the wait........ dealer is still saying late July/early August.... although I've noticed on the site that members who have ordered after me are not waiting that long.

Not sure if I fit the normal vRS owner profile at 61 years of age.......still young at heart though.

Well I am 51 but dont feel it,and am waiting on my first vRS as well.. I fully intend to stay in the vRS family for many more years

DSG comes with Maxidot, so if the dealer charged you extra go back to them and get them to knock the £130 off the bill...

it'll feel much quicker than the Pug.

There seems to be a lot of confusion as to the Maxidot being standard with DSG. Raised it with the dealer at time of ordering, after seeing the questions raised before on the forum.

They contacted Skoda who said NO, it is not standard fitment with DSG.

Several of us have ordered the DSG and got the Maxidot without it being specified... Don't see it being added for free so have to assume it must be standard with DSG

Dealer's can be quite sneaky! I ordered mine with Columbus (which has to have maxi dot for the nav instructions) and the dealer tried to charge me for mine. Honest mistake though they said and I got it knocked off
