Finally got it

Featured Replies

Just picked up my new car. Had a VRS PD170 hatch and now changed it for a CR170 VRS Estate. Fitted with maxidot, full leather, heated seats, space saving spare, mats, sunset glass, rear parking sensors and auto lights.

The only slight issue is a noise at 65-70mph (kind of howling type noise) which I suspect is a seal not quite seated properly. So will call dealer tomorrow to get it in to be sorted.

Very nice indeed! I was down the dealer the other day and must have seen your old car there as it was 'awaiting preperation' not that it needed any! Hope you enjoy the car! Its lovely!

Probably was mine although I do not want to know how much they will put it up for compared to the trade in price!!!!!

Enjoying the car already just need to get the +65mph noise sorted.

What noise is that? Mine has recently started howling from (depending on the weather) 55-65mph...

If I go above 65mph I get an intermittent but very loud howling noise (can be heard easily over a fairly loud stereo). The noise appears to be due to a vibration that can be felt from inside the car on the passenger side roof. I suspect it is something to do with the roof bar on that side although it does not appear to be loose or anything.

Very nice mate.

I do like the leather option as I find the standard seats a pain to keep clean due to the mesh.

I really like those new alloys aswell

Sounds like the noise I'm getting but mine is a hatch with no roof bars... I haven't managed to work out where it's coming from yet emoticon-0101-sadsmile.gif

Very nice mate, enjoy your new car! :)

Very nice mate, enjoy your new car! :)

I was enjoying it for the first 4 months and 11500 miles, then this noise started... Need to stop it soon as it drives me insane on the motorway which is where the car spends most of it's life...

Well you could have at least picked a different colour! :p

Looks very nice. What made you go for the Combi this time? Need a bit more space?

Steve

Lovely car! Can't wait until mine arrives!

Good luck with sorting out the noise!

Was looking at the anthracite but my wifes Verso is this colour and could not have both cars the same colour. Also I just love the blue colour, really suits the car and just looks great when it is cleaned.

Went for the combi for a number of reasons. One was the extra space but also easier access to the rear seats due to the squarer door opening. Also I just felt like a change. I had a Mk 1 VRS hatch and a Mk2 VRS hatch so felt a need to try something a little different. It will also be easier to fit my sons bike in the back along with the pushchair for my expected new arrival.

Looks nice, but sadly the steering wheel looks like it came out of a 1.2 fabia and spoils the interior of the car for me.

I think the brightness doesn't help, it looks very grey.

Got close to £9k trade in for the old one.

Pagey, Cheers for the photoshop and yep the flash did make the seats look a lot lighter than they really are.

No worries mate, the motor's a spanker. What year was your old one if you don't mind my asking?

It was a 2006 on a 56 plate (register September).
