Greetings from Finland!

My current car is Octavia II 2006 1.6. MPI with Elegance trim. I´ve been very happy with the car (without problems, only radio softare updated), but decided to go on with 1.8 TSI DSG. However, seems that at least to Finland the delivery times are freakingly long! Estimation was 10 weeks and build time was supposed to be week 21, but now estimation is week 30! Only good side is that it will be MY2011 model...

VAG consortium cars are holding top spots here in Finland: VW Golf 1st and Skoda Octavia 3rd sold car.

Please, share your experiences / knowledge with delivery times.

I was driving it May 5th

But, my car was already in the build queue - not an order from scratch

Bloomin Heck, we ordered ours 9th April, week 25 build (this week) and expecting it in another 4 weeks or so!!

Ordered my Scout (with maxidot and bluetooth) last week in January, delivered first week in June. Mate of mine has ordered a vRS this week and has been told mid October.

I originally ordered a elegance 2.0 tdi pd dsg . Then told around May it would be a 2.0 tdi cr dsg engine and the build date was put futher and futher back.

Ordered Black Magic CR vRS with reversing sensors, Ordered on May 17th,projected build week is 13 of august delivery mid september :'(

Ordered my CR vRS Estate, with quite a few extras, on April 19th. Recently informed build week is week 34, delivery late September.

Ordered a VRS 2.0T in Black on 05/05/10 (quoted 8 – 12 weeks delivery), it’s being built next week (wk 26), optional extras Reversing Sensors and spare wheel. Available to pickup TBC.

Ordered vRS estate, petrol with a few extras, on 28th April.

Was built two weeks ago & is on way. I'm told ready 2nd Week in July. (Excited!!)

There seems a huge disparity in build times!

Is this due to petrol vs diesel, or do extras make a significant difference too?

Could someone possibly tell me how i find out my build week without going to the stealer because they are being somewhat evasive

I rang Skoda UK.. They were more than accomodating to find information for me.

Ordered Octavia VRS CR DSG Hatchback in Race Blue week 23 - build date week 44 - (could improve?) original dealer estimate was from week 36

extras - Front / rear parking sensors Auto dimming mirror / rain sensor / light assist multifunction steering wheel MDI cable Temporary spare wheel

There are updates planned for Octavia from week 45 build, so trying to find out from factory what they are / if my car will have them etc.

Allowing factory shut for 3 weeks in July, still did not expect to wait so long. Also have px that may now be valued lower (ok still using it but now have to buy 2 more tyres as done 43k and bad roads are now taking their toll on wear tracking etc)

Think the week 45 update is for sound deadening material upgrade.

I fail to undetstand why, when I ordered my Scout on March 31st, has it been scheduled for week 31 :wonder:

I've emailed the dealer asking them to explain it, and if it isn't brought forward, that I will be cancelling the order.

I've asked my Dealer why my order delivery is waaay behind yours. They asked skoda UK, and they've said they want the order number of your car, so that they can investigate why mine's late.

I'd really appreciate it if it's possible you could get it from your dealer for me

I am waiting for my Vrs in race blue, ordered it in mid may, build week 30, cant wait, got my new shades, music on SD card, all ready to go i tryed 2 weeks ago to add maxidot, but this was not going to happen :'( , nevermind ill have it next time, well on the bright side i saved £130
