Yeti Delivered today - finally

Featured Replies

My Yeti arrived at lunchtime today having been driven down from the dealers in Carlisle. Had a good check of everything, especially the bodywork, then went out for a half hour run. The delivery driver said he really liked it, it was a pleasure to drive down today. It's got a bit dusty and dirty and collected quite a few bugs but here is a link to the photos I've taken today

Must say it drives as I remembered and there are no rattles or other strange noises. It was great to be able to drive over the so called Safety Cushions and have both wheels miss the angled sides, much more comfortable than my old Volvo or my wife's Mini.

Must sit down with the manual for an hour and then programme the radio and the Maxidot.

Your cars looks great in Aqua Blue ;) I'm sure you will enjoy every minute spent driving it ( and looking at it).

The Yeti population just keeps growing.

Mine came as well today, on a trailer, to the office at 9:00.

Corrida red 2wd 110bhp elegance, delivered with 7 miles on the clock.

Already had a short run, will be doing 270 miles tomorrow.

Very impressed so far, certainly a talking point at work with lots more already on order as lease cars.

Many thanx, I was thinking about Green but my wife steered me towards Aqua Blue and it does look great. Oh, the manual though, what a terrible layout and terrible translation. I've flicked through all of it and read the bits I was interested in and set up the radio and maxidot by just pushing buttons until it did what I wanted. I tried to pair up my phone but it asked me for a PIN and I can't remember what it is, might be the default so another blooming manual to read.

Just waiting for the wife to get home from work and we'll go for a little run, remember when you went out for a ride in the car on a Sunday, just to ride in the car? Looks like those days are back.

Good to see you have your Monster Stewart and enjoy your evening drive :)

Regards,

TP

Cheers Mac,

I hope you get good news. Managed to pair my Motorola L6 phone (four or five years old) and upload the address book and make phone calls handsfree. It was almost as easy as using an Apple Mac, which I do, and I've converted the wife. Windoze, spit.

Hi Simon,

The code was 1234. Despite my Motorola L6 not being on the list it paired and downloaded my contacts and works fine. You'll be pleased when you get your car.

Stewart

hey Stewart, when you have downloaded the address book from your phone does it remain on the Bolero when you don't have your phone with you??

I know that if it does you won't be able to make or receive calls due to the phone\s absence

And mine arrived too, so I'm also very pleased! SE 1.2 DSG, and I'd not previously driven the automatic, so I'm especially pleased/relieved to find it every bit as sharp and poky as the manual. Not much opportunity to drive it very far yet, but looking forward to a day out soon. Very comfortable and easy running,(and still so new!) and I'm needing to get used to what I suspect is a bit of turbo drag, which my previous A class didn't have. If I coast round a corner and then give it some gentle throttle away there's a gap, and then it kicks me in the back. Is this really a 1.2 or has there been a mistake at the factory I wonder? lol!

Pics to follow when I've worked it out.

Mike

Congrats and great detailed pics thanks. And of the interior too! So many new owners forget that their cars have insides too! I've been wondering about my Aqua blue choice for ages now and have finally decided I'm happy with it. In some pics it looks grey and in others it looks blue. Just like my A2, so I'm happy. I was scared it was going to be too baby blue. It seems under blue sky my A2 is blue and under grey clouds it is grey. I love that.

As to the manuals' use of English: the radio manual is really terrible. It is like they did a Google translate and that was it: straight to print. The actual car manual on the other hand uses good English in my view.

Hi Mac,

It must remain on the Bolero but if your phone isn't present and paired then in my case pressing the phone button on the Bolero or the MF Steering wheel just brings up a message saying there is no phone present and I can't access the address book. When I paired the phone again the address book was immediately available without having to be downloaded. It's a really neat feature although I'm not keen on making calls when on the move.

Stewart

I have my BB paired - very good it is too.

I use it often for listening to voicemail - i find this less distracting than a conversation.

One gripe - I can't seem to get the DTMF (?) codes to work so if e.g. I'm listening to a message I can key "5" to delete.

Anyone figured this ?

(Standard Bolero - no Nav).
