Been tinting

Featured Replies

Spent the afternoons good weather fitting the fly-eyes rear tints. Shockingly easy to fit and with good results.

The rear reflectors still work perfectly

And I also did the front fogs

Thoughts?

Looks sweet noticed you changed your grill badge too

 Nice, its like your rear lights have got sunglasses on. Also, likin the sub in the boot I've got that to look forward to soon.

The sub is horrendous! Picked it up free from a mate :) The carpet has come off the side... Though since I set it up properly it sounds alright.

The badge is nice, will look better hopefully when I add more black bits.

Ahh man it looks a bit sketchy but i'm sure it makes a good sound, as you said its all in the set-up. Oh yeah forgot to mention the badge although I dont like the retro badges. I don't really like the older Skoda's at all. eek!

It's more for the black and white than anything else

Interesting... Never thought of doing it that way hmmm.

I just did the opposite of you to my newly fitted pre facelift lamps...

Dead easy to use isn't it... Great value too!! Good fun product!

I love the effect on mine, looks lovely the other way round on yousr too mate

My fogs are done too. heheh

But I must confess that I have some lamin x ready to take its place.

Fly eyes is very good and super quick and easy to use...

but lamin x is far more durable albeit slightly harder to apply...

and I'll get a full tint on those parts of the lamp as I chose gunsmoke.

This pic gives you an idea though...

I'll be interested to see the difference the Lamin-x to fly eyes.

Interesting you say you hadn't considered my way, I hadn't considered tinting the lighter bits! But does look good!

But yeah, unbelievably easy, especially in the hot weather today! Made it slightly more flexible :D

I've just lamin x'd a pair of front fogs yellow and

am waiting for some non blue bulbs to come my way

before I fit them. It was kinda sticky compared to fly eyes.

If I'm successful with lamin xing the same clear segments in the rear

and achieve the look and finish I'm after then I'll bite the big one and

subtle tint lam-x the headlights too.

It's just a lot of dosh to waste on a bit of plastic if you don't get it perfect IMO.

These came out good though....

Looks good, how do they look on the car?

I've just realised my hair has a ginger tint! I assure you all I'm not ginger :D

That's the first time I've seen our old lights on your car. Looking good fly-eyed Garry :)

Hi Andy,

Look good don't they... Had them off yet again yesterday changing the fly eyes for lamin x.

Got it down to 10 mins both sides... Can't leave it alone... The lamin x looks a lot less "added" if you catch my drift...

I made paper templates and cut the lamin x to match so it was tailor made to fit,

much less waste that way and it would have been much harder to cut in situ as its about 6x thicker

than fly eyes... Hows the wifes fabia coming mate... Done it yet?

They're not on the car yet... but I have just fitted some osram all season yellow bulbs

in them as I thought the blue reflection looked gash. Much better with the osrams in.

Just waiting to get this moving house business over and done with before I go taking

my bumper off. I think they'll look great on a black (or yellow) Furby but I'm not sure

about other colours.

No not done anything to her car yet other than a new tax disc holder and a new Magic Tree  Think I'm going to get the windows tinted on it next then save the pennies to get the vRS bits painted. It'll be a slow work in progress as there are a few things I want to get done to my car that I've put off for a while ;)
