Removing Check Light...

Featured Replies

I might be doing the EGR delete in the next few days, so was just wondering how to get rid of the EML light?

You can minimise it, but not down to zero, and CEL will still come on. It will need the mapping tweaked, which can be done easily if the person who mapped it last time has any wits about them.

Does reducing it help in anyway at all, even if it doesn't eradicate the light?

The only way to remove it is to map out the light or remove the program piece that deals with EGR. The latter is the correct way..the engine map is totally seperate from mapping the egr fault detector out....vagcom only clears the fault...it needs mapped out of the ecu.
