Has anybody got their week22 car yet with Bluetooth and use an iphone

Featured Replies

Sorry about the long title, but that is my question.

Many people have talked about the new bletooth setup, and I was just wondering if anybody is using their iPhone successfully - or any other phone which did not work prior to week 22

Thanks

Has it even started to be rolled out?

I'm sure I read on here somewhere that there was a delay in the new GSM III+ module being fitted.

I hope so as I need to make sure it works when I get my car.

Yes it does work.

You can transfer contacts and also stream music via Bluetooth.

It's a little bit confusing to set the pairing up compared to my Blackberry which I also use but it definitely works.

so do you have an iphone connected or a blackberry?

I use both a Blackberry and an iPhone with the car (obviosuly not at the same time).

The Blackberry is better as it works in RSAP mode whereas the iPhone doesn't but both work fine.

Wish they'd done it properly when I ordered my car... Oh well, the Fiscon does the job emoticon-0148-yes.gif

All I want is to ensure that calls can be made and answerd through the bluetooth.

If there is any other functionality then great, but this is key to me.

I'm not sure how I've got it.

I've had my Octavia L&K for 2 weeks now.

It's shows as GSM Premium when Blackberry connected and just shows iPhone name, battery, iPod symbol and signal strength when iPhone connected.

The car was ordered in May and was told by dealer it would be 8 weeks and would come with PD engine. Turned up as a build week 22 with CR engine and the new Bluetooth kit.

Can that new Bluetooth kit be retro-fitted to an older car? I've put down deposit on March 2010 VRS which has BT, but presumably the one that doesn't talk to my iPhone, so the new kit would be good!

flippin' 'eck... that totally conflicts with what Skoda UK have told me and now I've gone a retrofitted the old one :-(

def. sounds like the new model though, so lucky you. I guess I may upgrade (again) in future if it's possible..

It may be better of getting a Parrot MKi9100. It may cheaper and better
