anyone know how to turn off day lights on octavia I, 2006?

can it be done with Vag Com or some other software?

does anyone have pin assignment for light switch or know wich wires to pull out or maybe where is the relay "responsible" for lights?

Yes VCDS can do this ...... but a MKI should not have DRL's anyway (unless the car was intended for a country where they are legally required) also are you 100% sure it's a MKI? as the MKII came out in 2004 (although MKI's were/are still available to buy as a taxi).

Unless the car comes from a country where they're legally required, I've neve seen any Octy with DRLs. Also, unless the car has CANBUS, they'll be hard-wired, and can't be controlled in software.

How come you have DRL's on a MKI octy? To be a MKI, it would have to be a VRS. I had one of the last ones too, is a 55 plate but doesn't have DRL's on it.

Is it a british car? or for another country the requires DRL's?

I am in Croatia, i rather not have DRL, but i hawe it,

during summer we dont have to turn light on and I would like to turn it off but I can´t...

You could try this , it might work :-

The MK 6 Golf has the following instruction in the manual if that's any help :-

"Move turn signal and main beam lever both down and to the rear (lefthand turn signal and headlamp flash)and hold it in that position. Turn the ignition on for 3 secs and then switch it off again . The daylight running lights function is now deactivated"

To reactivate the same procedure is carried out with the turn signal lever in the up and to the rear.i.e. right turn and headlamp flash positions.

does not working, I dont have fuse 17 or any wires on it...

Can you post a pic of the DRLs on your Octavia please. I'm curious as to what they look like from the factory. Don't suppose they would be available for RHD cars though.

I'm guessing they're probably just dipped beam headlights switched on all of the time.

I can just make picture off light switch, don`t know what else can I show you?

It´s the normal light, this is the same lights like you turn it on with the switch, it seems it is some special wiring, and different switch,

does somebody have link for the wiring or for the light switch pin assignment?

Was thinking that they might have been LED DRLs.

Can't help with the wiring either, sorry.
