If the dreaded ESP/ABS teves sensor fails " do you only loose ESP " every thing else works

Is that Correct???

Picked up my 07 Octavia TDi VRs Yesterday and can't stop looking at the dash in case the light comes on

If you don't have one then take out an extended warranty - then at least you wont have to worry about the cost if it or anything else fails

Comes with 12 Months Skoda approved warranty.

The question was:- " is only ESP effected and all else works???"

Auric, i think so, that's what the folks who've been affected have said. Think positive :giggle:

Yes only models with ESP (Teves MK60) are affected and for me, it seems to disable the ESP, so I get a lot more wheel spin. Nothing else that I have found so far is affected but I have been driving very cautious because of this so possibly the whole ABS/traction as well. Mine is still faulty and have been using it for a while now with no other problems.

Hopefully not ABS, that's an MOT fail but ESP isn't hence they (VW) can worm out of this a lot easier :-(
