Group buy for catch tanks

Featured Replies

Hi guys, i enquired about the saikoumichi Catch tanks as a group buy a received this email.

This is the real deal and well worth doing.

I have one myself, and only asked as i know a fair few people are after some....so someone would have to take responsibility collecting money for them and placing an order and then posting them out

Hi!

Yes, I have done an overseas group buy before, but be sure that you, or the organizer is ready for the task at hand.

For the benefit of a safe shipment, I like to break up the orders into packages of 5 units. Also, for a group buy, one or all the packages must go to the same address. I cannot ship an individual tank to one address for less than $30US, but I can ship several in one package for about the same amount.

So far, all the group buys have ended very well with no problems, and the participants got a very good price over retail.

In terms of one package with 5 each Stage 3 tanks inside, let me offer them at $80US and calculate the shipping cost for each at $8US

In comparison, the retail is $115 and postage to the UK for each would be $30 if purchased individually.

Paypal is required for international orders. Of course, larger orders require more fabrication time after the payment is received.

Please advise if this is acceptable to the interested parties.

Thanks!

so for one its $80+$8 shipping which is £58ish and then the person who receives them will post them out to you...at a guess...you would be looking at around £65 delivered to your door

I could be up for this :)

Dont have the time to organise it however but shall keep an eye on this thread.

yep im in on that defontly what they look like tho ?

I would be interested - I thought SiVRS was getting someone to make some?

Also do they come with the pipes you need as there was a thread recently on about the 19mm pipes being stupid money... :dull:

I would be interested in buying but don't have the time to take it on.

They won't come with any pipes.

You will get hit with some customs/vat charges so please bear that in mind.

IIRC the one i did last year got hit for around £28 of which £12 was Parcelforce charge. This parcel was marked down as around $100 contents.

The GB i did last year i got everyone to pay directly (via Paypal) to Saikoumichi (or Pedro as he's know to his friends) and sent them out once the shipment around.

I paid £120-ish for 2m of Samco Fluorolined but you can get marine hose which is a lot cheaper, depends on what look you are after

Marine hose for me then!!!

Does the flurolined stuff actually do anything?

i'm struggling to get hold of the guy doing them as either he's busy or i'm busy and as my vrs relationship is over i wont be needing one, and wont be on here that often so you guys go ahead

I would be intrested in one.

Got my flouro lined hose here: www.auto-performance.co.uk/

Silicone degrades when exposed to oil and fuel, so yeah you do need something resistant really.

Get the most flexible stuff you can, as that is the only pain you'll encounter on this job!

so we need to get a list together and some one to take it on.

(when i received it the hoses were actually Forge ones)

You need the hose lined to not degrade due to oil running through it.

Bodge +1 there buddy.

Incidently have your hose's gone darker? My top hose has and i can see the shadow of the black inner Flouo section.

Yeah one of them has actually! The short section that I have going from the 19mm T-piece to the CC inlet has gone darker, but not at the ends where it's clamped on. Not sure what's going on there. I guess you're always get a bit of discolouring when you're using blue hoses to carry oil and fuel. I wanted black hoses originally, but nobody ever stocks black silicone so had to go for blue.

Better drain the can this weekend actually! Got lots of little jobs to do. New knock sensor needs fitting, new N75 hoses, pollen filter and a couple of new wheels to put on.

Put me down for a catch can as well.
