another 312mm brake thread

Featured Replies

I got myself a set of the audi/octy 312mm calipers carriers pads and discs as my discs where getting close to needing changeing so first the calipers and carriers arrived so i spent 2 days painting them in smooth green. Then the discs arrived god they are heavy :o any way i was going to fit them next week but last night my brakes where not working just before i got home the pedal had very little resistance and was almost to the floor so after a very very slow drive home i decided today i would fit the new ones with my dad while we checked what the problem was. it turned out the was alot of air in the system we didnt find any leaks so touch wood thats all it was.

so now for the pics

the old setup (before any one says it the wheels are getting sorted next month)

had a quick drive and so far im very impressed the pedal is much more resonsive and the even with out every thing being bedded in it already feels very good just need to take it easy while they bed in then i can test it out fully

Doh! Thats what I forgot to do..! Copper grease on the pads. :(

Good job, :) have you noticed anything with the acceleration by any chance?
