vRS length including exhaust

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm looking at buying a mk1 vRS, but will need to put it in a fairly compact garage. Can anyone tell me how long the car is (4503mm?), and whether this includes the standard exhaust which looks to stick out a fair way.

Cheers,

Matt

Cheers Bill. Does the 4507mm include the exhaust sticking out then or is it in-line with the bumper?

Cheers,

Matt

Hi Matt

4507 is total length inc exhaust

I dont want to put you off an Octy vRS cos they are great cars, but I find it very difficult to judge exactly how much space I have at the front and back from the drivers seat due to the long front overhang and high back end.

Bill.

PS. would it be possible to move/reposition your garage door a couple of inches to give a bit extra room ???

I have a standard size garage and it fits in with a large 2.5ft wide rack in front of it. Should be fine!

If your local i am sure a member would pop round to see if it goes in

Hi,

Thanks for the replies. Good to know that includes the exhaust. I need to double check whether I can nudge the door forward, could always just knock through into my neighbours house I suppose ;-)

Coming from a Mini Cooper S, the lack of perception of how long the thing is is going to be a bit confusing, but i'm hoping to find a vRS with rear parking sensors to give me a hand until I'm up to speed.

Cheers,

Matt
