vRS estate roof rails

Featured Replies

Most of the publicity shots I've seen of the Fabia vRS estate were without roof rails (no doubt European spec). I felt this made the estate look sleeker than its "standard" counterparts, and in keeping with its sporty nature.

I'm a bit surprised to see roof rails would seem to be standard on UK estates according to the vRS brochure. I wonder if not having them could be an option?

They look bald without the rails, no point in having an estate without roof rails IMO.

I'm hoping 'roof rail delete' will be an option. I agree with you, looks much sportier without them. I had a mk1 estate with roof rails and I never used them and am unlikely to use them in the future so why have them? :) Also they make the car look even more high sided.

My First Fabia mk 1 fabia estate didnt have but my new one has and i preffer roof rails....

I know it isn't for the estate version but I asked a salesman were there roof racks for the standard vRS. I need one as I have a fishing kayak. He said he didn't know. I noticed that there were no holes like the MK1 for roof bars so not sure how they would fix on.

I think that too on a lot of cars, but to my mind the Fabia can look good without rails too.

Although the Fabia S is without roof rails, I think I've heard the higher specs have holes for the screws that hold the rails on so not having them is not a practical option. So it's possibly the same for the vRS. How this squares with the manufacture of European models I've no idea.
