Facelift Anti-Hijack

Featured Replies

Picked up our new Scout today and it looks like it's going to be a fantastic machine.

One thing though I never mentioned to the Dealer that we wanted Anti-Hijack setting because I thought it would be available through Maxidot.

Doesnt look like it is though or am I missing something ?

Check the settings, it's there, and you can choose which doors open/close. I choose to open mine with one pull, while all other doors need 2 pulls to open from inside. I think also once you drive over 15 or 20km/h it autolocks.

It can be done via maxi-dot, as "doors auto-close". I had a few problems, but now have it working reliably.

- set "doors auto-open" as well (this unlocks the doors when you remove the key)

- do not use the speed limit warning in maxi-dot.

- configure both keys. When you use the second key, it may appear to be set on maxi-dot, but not working, in which case: Un-set it and then set it again.

Ahh. Thanks guys thats excellent. I'll check it out in the morning.

If you use both remote key fobs you might have to make the settings having opened the car with both of them. I noticed that some/many Maxidot customizations seem to be specific to the keyfob in use when I made the changes. I guess this is so you and the better-half can avoid fighting over how the car electronics are customized...
