Underside of a scout

Featured Replies

Anyone have a picture of, or have a link to a picture of the underside of a mk2 Octy Scout ?

Looking to find how the 2nd exhaust exit is routed.

It's got my local exhuast place (and me!) scratching their heads, on my octy there's stuff in the way, inc the towing eye point and there'd be a nasty bend in the middle of the exhaust to accommodate a turn needed and the main guy there was saying it would have a negative effect on the rest of the exhaust

EDIT: something like this, but for a scout --> http://picasaweb.google.com/106022899596357479599/2010OctaviaVrsTSiJackingAxleStandPoints#5477881529943948082

Cheers for that Les, that appears to be the 4x4 rather than the scout -- which is interesting in it's own right; even although the fuel tank's different, it justifies most of the routing that was planned. However the 4x4's also got the towing eye in the way

The Scout is 4x4 so the picture is for the Scout, I want to understand that Skoda has not sold any Scout without 4x4 !!!

Yip, the scout is 4x4, but the 4x4 is seperate from the scout  (4x4 doesn't have twin exhausts)

As far as I know, no Octavias have twin i.e. Left and right of the car as-built, so there is no route to right hand side of the car. Is that right?

Thanks for your replies guys! I'll look more closely for future!!

Indeed - the Scout uses the Audi's back plate which does have two exhausts, unfortunately though the Scout only has one of them used. Looks a bit pants unfortunately, but such is the joy of a cheaper car.

I agree the Scout would look much cooler with dual exhausts.
