Factory sticky stuff

Featured Replies

Got the car last week - and noticed small amounts of sticky stuff on the paintwork - From brand new cars I have seen (still with factory stickers and protection thingies on them) it would appear the valet didn't do a very good job..

I took it back to the dealers who said they could send it back to the valet - but sod that.. If they can't do the basic valet right the first time, why would I let them back at it? It'd probably come back with a wheel missing because I complained.

Anyway - what's the best thing to remove this? I've not washed it yet as I wanted to show the dealers what a pigs ear their contract valet company made of it.

I've got the absolute basics at home (wash mitt, Autoglym shampoo, 2 buckets, Autoglym wax, water, no hosepipe ban )..

I don't want to apply too much pressure to it, and I don't want to start spraying harsh chemical onto the paint.. any ideas?
